[vpsFree.cz: community-list] vpsAdmin v2.8: hlášení výpadků / outage reporting

vpsAdmin v2.8.0 [1] integruje hlášení výpadků. vpsAdmin nyní přesně ví,
koho výpadek postihuje a může tak informovat konkrétní členy e-mailem.
Díky tomu už si nemusíte pamatovat, na kterém nodu máte VPS. Pokud se
vás výpadek týká, budete informováni, jinak ne.

Na outage-list budeme výpadky hlásit stejně jako doposud. Abyste o
každém výpadku, který se vás týká, nebyli informování 2x (přímo a přes
outage-list), můžete se buď z outage-listu odhlásit, nebo si vypnout
maily o výpadcích ve vpsAdminu [2].

Všechny doposud hlášené výpadky, které šly naparsovat, jsem nahrál do
vpsAdminu:

Aktuální a plánované výpadky se zobrazují na titulní straně, u každého
můžete vidět, jestli se vás týká, nebo ne (pokud jste přihlášeni).

U výpadků je nově uvedeno, jakým způsobem postihuje VPS. Zatím to může
být jedno z následujících:

 - tbd: to be determined; teprve zjišťujeme, o co jde
 - restart: ve VPS se projeví jako čistý restart
 - reset: ve VPS se projeví jako reset
 - network: výpadek konektivity, DDoS, apod.
 - performance: dočasné snížení výkonu
 - maintenance: VPS běží, jen s ním třeba nejde manipulovat

Dále můžeme průběžně informovat o tom, jak postupujeme v řešení výpadku
a členové, kterých se to týká, budou dostávat mail. Minimálně budeme
informovat o vyřešení výpadku.

Samozřejmě všechny informace o výpadcích jdou vytáhnout přímo z API [4],
takže si to místo našich mailů můžete implementovat jak chcete.

vpsAdmin v2.8.0 [1] features built-in support for outage reporting.
vpsAdmin now knows who exactly is affected by an outage and can notify
concerned users via e-mail. Thanks to this, you no longer have to
remember what node your VPS is on. You'll be notified when an outage
concerns you.

We'll keep using outage-list just as we always did. If you're subscribed
there, you'll receive two e-mails for every outage that concerns you:
one from vpsAdmin and one from the outage-list. You can either
unsubscribe from the outage list or disable outage reports from vpsAdmin
[3] to remove the duplicity.

All outages that have been reported up to now have been imported to
vpsAdmin:

Current and planned outages are visible on the index page. If you're
logged in, you can actually see whether an outage affects your VPS or not.

Each outage now states how it affects your VPS. It can be one of the
following options:

 - tbd: to be determined; we're still investigating what's gone wrong
 - restart: the VPS will see it as a clean restart
 - reset: the VPS will see it as a hard reset
 - network: issues with connectivity, DDoS and so on
 - performance: temporary decreased performance
 - maintenance: VPS is running, can't be controlled from vpsAdmin

Furthermore, we can now inform users about our progress in resolving
outages by sending updates. You'll receive them via e-mail as well. At
least, we'll post an update when an outage has been resolved and VPS are
back to normal.

All information about outages is present in the API [5], so you can
implement your own outage report handling and disable e-mails from vpsAdmin.
